Roll bar

Rynner

Overdrive!
I am thinking about fitting this roll bar,
does anybody know how the feet are fixed?, ie are holes cut through the floor with the feet on the top of the chassis and through bolts and plates under the chassis, it came with 2 plates.
Thanks,

I would think it better to make (thick) plates up with captive threads, then weld those to the chassis so the captives are pointing down so to speak (you'll have to drill the chassis top sections to allow the nuts to poke down).
Then you make holes in the floor, and bolt it all down securely.
You could weld the bar straight to the chassis...but that's a bit of a thing if you ever need to remove it for repair work or whatever.

Bolting through the chassis is a no no without crush tubes and that is probably more work than doing the above.

Thanks,
I am not planning on drilling or welding the chassis, the bolt holes just pass the sides of the chassis, the bottom plate looks as if it would clamp up tight.
Here is a sketch of what i mean

Not for competition,
Simply as a frame To support my removable 'hitop' which cantilevers 20 inches over the front. I dont want any weight on the windscreen frame.
A variation on this one
