Which OBD to help with dpf regeneration

Hi, new member hope this request not repeated too often.
Can someone recommend which meter is best (if any) to help me do regeneration of dpf.
Red dpf warning came on last week, no yellow before. Had to get my garage to turn the warning off, then a driving regeneration was possible.
I'd like to do this myself
Any advice please.
 
There are a number of OBD readers available. The best of them is the gap ID, expensive (£600. ish), but will do everything you will need. I use an iCarsoft unit which was around £170.00 and is dedicated to a Discovery D4
